Quattro LNB: four fixed signal planes for multiswitches
What does a Quattro LNB do?
A Quattro LNB supplies the four fixed satellite IF planes: vertical low, horizontal low, vertical high and horizontal high. Four cables feed a compatible multiswitch that distributes the required signals to individual tuners.
Can I connect a receiver directly?
Unlike a Quad LNB, the outputs do not switch independently. A receiver connected to a single Quattro output cannot access the full channel range. A suitable multiswitch is normally required.
Choosing compatible components
Check the number of satellite positions and tuners, multiswitch inputs and the LNB mounting size. Connect each of the four planes to the correct input. Wideband and certain Unicable systems follow different requirements.
Installation tip
Allow for future tuner expansion, label all four cables and protect outdoor connections from moisture.
