When is Unicable useful?
Unicable technology allows multiple compatible tuners to use a shared coaxial run. It can help when existing cabling makes a new star-wired installation impractical.
Choose matching components
Depending on the layout, a system may need a Unicable LNB, router or multiswitch and compatible splitters and outlets. Check EN 50494/EN 50607 support, available user bands, power requirements and receiver compatibility.
Avoid common setup errors
Do not assign the same user band to two independent tuners. Enter the correct UB frequencies and follow the distribution design. Any legacy operation depends on the exact product.
