English Quad LNB: connect four satellite tuners directly
When to choose a Quad LNB
A Quad LNB provides four independently controlled outputs for up to four satellite tuners using separate coaxial cables. A twin-tuner receiver normally requires two connections in a conventional installation.
Quad versus Quattro
A Quad LNB is designed for direct receiver connections. A Quattro LNB provides four fixed satellite signal planes and is normally used with a compatible multiswitch. These two types are not interchangeable.
What to check before ordering
Count tuners rather than just televisions, check the dish feed mount, satellite position and cable routes. Good coaxial cable and correctly fitted F connectors are important, particularly for longer runs. Larger installations may be better served by a multiswitch system.
Can I connect a fifth receiver?
Not directly to a standard four-output Quad LNB. Depending on the installation, consider a compatible multiswitch, a different LNB type or a Unicable distribution system.
