Instructions for Tool Adjustment:
The tool is preset for 10 mm cables.
To test stripping, hold the tool with the adjustment screws facing down. Open the cable guide and insert the coaxial cable from the left. Close the cable guide. Then, rotate the tool around the cable 4-5 times. Open the cable guide, remove the cable, and clean off the insulation debris. The blade for the inner conductor should not damage it, and the blade for the outer jacket should not cut the cable’s braid.
If a blade does not cut deeply enough, you can adjust it using the hex key attached to the tool as follows: turn the key clockwise to make the blade cut deeper into the cable. Turning it counterclockwise reduces the blade’s cutting depth.
Caution: If the adjustment screws are turned in too deeply, the tool can be damaged! Always adjust in 1/4 turn increments to maintain control.
If you lose track of the adjustments, for instance, if the inner conductor is being cut, turn the blades out several turns counterclockwise and slowly adjust again.
