EMP-Centauri T5/10PNP-3 – Connect 2 Multiswitches to One Quattro LNB
Do you want to distribute the signal of one Quattro LNB to two multiswitches? The EMP-Centauri T5/10PNP-3 (P.122A) is a passive SAT/terrestrial splitter designed specifically for this application.
The four SAT IF levels of a Quattro LNB and an optional terrestrial signal are distributed to two separate 5-cable output groups. This allows two multiswitches, for example, to be supplied from the same Quattro LNB and terrestrial antenna.
Key Features
- Passive splitter for SAT and terrestrial signals
- Ideal for connecting 2 multiswitches to one Quattro LNB
- 4 × SAT inputs for the four signal levels of a Quattro LNB
- 1 × terrestrial input
- 2 × 4 SAT outputs
- 2 × terrestrial outputs
- No separate power supply required
- Suitable for cascade-type SAT distribution systems
- Made in EU
How Does the T5/10PNP-3 Work?
A Quattro LNB provides four fixed SAT signal levels:
- VL – Vertical / Low Band
- HL – Horizontal / Low Band
- VH – Vertical / High Band
- HH – Horizontal / High Band
These four cables, together with the terrestrial cable, are connected to the T5/10PNP-3. The splitter then provides two identical output groups. Each output group can be connected to a separate multiswitch.
Multiple Satellite Positions?
The T5/10PNP-3 distributes the four SAT levels of one Quattro LNB. In a multiswitch system receiving several satellite positions, one T5/10PNP-3 is therefore required for each Quattro LNB.
Example: For an Astra and Hotbird system using two Quattro LNBs, two of these splitters are required.

Typical Application
The splitter is ideal when an existing SAT system needs to be expanded and two multiswitches need to use the same Quattro LNB. Instead of installing an additional LNB or a second satellite dish, the existing SAT levels can be passively distributed to both multiswitches.

Frequently Asked Questions about the EMP-Centauri T5/10PNP-3
Can I connect two multiswitches to one Quattro LNB?
Yes. This is exactly what the T5/10PNP-3 is designed for. The four SAT levels of the Quattro LNB are passively distributed to two output groups, allowing two suitable multiswitches to be supplied.
Does the splitter require a power supply?
No. The T5/10PNP-3 is a passive splitter and does not require a separate power supply.
Can a terrestrial signal also be distributed?
Yes. In addition to the four SAT levels, the splitter has one terrestrial input and two terrestrial outputs.
How many splitters do I need for Astra and Hotbird?
For two satellite positions using two Quattro LNBs, you need two T5/10PNP-3 splitters – one splitter for each Quattro LNB.
Is the T5/10PNP-3 a multiswitch?
No. It is a passive SAT/terrestrial splitter. It distributes the existing input signals to two output groups, but it does not replace a multiswitch.
