TV Aerial Cable for Cable TV – Kathrein LCD 111 A+ with Professional Cabelcon IEC Connectors

Aerial cables provide the foundation for stable signal transmission in satellite, cable TV and terrestrial antenna systems. To transmit the TV signal reliably from the aerial wall socket to your television or cable receiver, both a high-quality coaxial cable and carefully installed connectors are essential.

For this TV connection cable, we combine the high-quality Kathrein LCD 111 A+ coaxial cable with professional Cabelcon IEC connectors of industrial quality. At Ariasat, we assemble the cable in your selected length: a Cabelcon IEC male connector is fitted at one end and a Cabelcon IEC female connector at the other. Both connectors are professionally compression-fitted to the cable.

You receive a high-quality, durable and ready-to-use TV aerial cable, assembled for you in your selected length. There is no need to strip the cable or fit the connectors yourself.

Professional Cabelcon IEC connectors – industrial quality instead of basic standard connectors

A high-quality aerial cable deserves equally high-quality connectors. That is why we use Cabelcon IEC connectors for this TV connection cable. Cabelcon is an internationally active manufacturer of professional connection technology for cable, telecommunications and broadband applications.

Cabelcon develops connectors for applications with demanding requirements for connection quality and reliability. Professional connection solutions of this kind are particularly relevant to installation specialists and cable and broadband applications.

What does this mean for you? You do not receive a loosely assembled cable with basic aerial plugs that you have to fit yourself. We securely attach a Cabelcon IEC male connector and a Cabelcon IEC female connector to the Kathrein cable using a suitable compression tool. The result is a stable, professionally assembled connection designed for everyday use.

IEC male connector: Male TV aerial connector with a protruding centre pin.
IEC female connector: Female TV aerial connector with a matching opening for the centre pin.
Compression fitting: Both connectors are securely compression-fitted to the coaxial cable.
Professional design: High-quality connectors for compatible TV and aerial connections.

By combining Kathrein LCD 111 A+ with Cabelcon IEC connectors, we offer you a carefully assembled connection cable in which both the cable material and the connectors are selected with quality in mind.

Will this aerial cable fit my TV?

This connection cable has one IEC male connector and one IEC female connector. This connector combination is commonly used to connect a television or cable receiver to a compatible TV aerial wall socket.

IEC male connector: The connector with a protruding centre pin.
IEC female connector: The connector with an opening for the centre pin.

Before ordering, please check the connectors on your aerial wall socket and your television or receiver.

Important: This TV aerial cable does not have threaded F-connectors. To connect directly to a satellite receiver with an F-type socket, you will need a satellite cable fitted with the appropriate F-connectors.

Why do we use Kathrein LCD 111 A+ coaxial cable?

Kathrein LCD 111 A+ is a high-quality 75-ohm coaxial cable for indoor installations. Its construction is designed to transmit TV signals while helping to reduce interference from external sources through effective shielding.

Solid copper inner conductor: The 1.13 mm inner conductor is made of copper (Cu).
Triple shielding: Two aluminium/PET foils and a tinned copper braid help shield the signal against external interference.
Shielding class A++: The cable meets the requirements of EN 50117 for this shielding class.
Typical shielding effectiveness of 130 dB: A manufacturer-specified value for the shielding performance of the cable material.
75-ohm impedance: Suitable for standard TV and aerial systems with 75-ohm connections.
White PVC outer jacket: Intended for indoor installation.

According to the manufacturer, the Kathrein LCD 111 A+ cable material used is dibkom-certified and approved for Vodafone/KDG applications.

Individually assembled for you – in your selected cable length

There is no need to buy a large cable reel or install connectors yourself. We assemble your TV connection cable according to your order.

We prepare the Kathrein LCD 111 A+ coaxial cable in your selected length and fit the appropriate Cabelcon IEC connectors at both ends. The IEC male and female connectors are securely attached using a suitable compression tool.

You receive a durable, ready-to-use TV cable that can be connected directly between compatible sockets on your aerial wall outlet and your television or cable receiver.

Our tip: Measure the distance between the aerial wall socket and your device before ordering. Allow a little extra length so the cable is not under tension and can be routed without sharp bends.

Typical applications

Connecting a compatible TV aerial wall socket to a television with a DVB-C tuner.
Connecting a cable receiver to a compatible aerial wall socket.
Connecting devices with compatible IEC aerial connections in TV and radio systems.
Use in DVB-T2 HD terrestrial antenna systems, provided the connectors match the equipment being used.

Whether you can receive HD or 4K channels depends on factors such as channel availability, your receiving equipment and your reception system. The aerial cable itself does not determine the picture resolution.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Which aerial cable do I need for cable TV?

A cable with an IEC male connector and an IEC female connector is commonly used to connect a television or cable receiver to a TV aerial wall socket. This connection cable has exactly that connector combination. Please check your equipment's connections before purchasing.

What is special about the Cabelcon IEC connectors?

Cabelcon offers professional connectors for cable, telecommunications and broadband applications. For this connection cable, we use an industrial-quality Cabelcon IEC male connector and IEC female connector. Both are securely fitted to the Kathrein cable using a suitable compression tool. You receive a durable, ready-made connection cable without having to install the connectors yourself.

Is the aerial cable assembled in my selected length?

Yes. Select the required cable length from the available options. We assemble the Kathrein LCD 111 A+ cable according to your order, fitting a Cabelcon IEC male connector and an IEC female connector.

Do I need to fit the connectors myself?

No. We supply the TV aerial cable fully assembled with a securely compression-fitted IEC male connector and IEC female connector. You can connect it directly to compatible sockets.

What is the difference between an IEC male and an IEC female connector?

The IEC male connector has a protruding centre pin. The IEC female connector has a matching opening for that pin. This cable has one of each, with a different connector at either end.

Can I use this cable for Vodafone cable TV?

Can I connect this cable directly to a satellite receiver?

Not to a standard satellite input with a threaded F-type socket. This product has IEC TV aerial connectors. For a satellite input of that type, you need a cable with suitable F-connectors.

What does shielding class A++ mean?

Shielding helps protect the transmitted TV signal against external interference. The Kathrein LCD 111 A+ cable used meets shielding class A++ and has a typical shielding effectiveness of 130 dB, according to the manufacturer. Actual reception quality also depends on the entire aerial system.

Why is the cable supplied as a tied cable ring?
